Ward Transport was founded in 1931 with one truck, one route, two drivers, and one customer. From those beginnings they've grown to serve 10,000 customers each year throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlanticarea offering LTL, truckload, brokerage, warehousing, and logistics services.

Ward provides direct LTL service within a 12-state region in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Nineteen service centers are located throughout the 12-state area. They extend their LTL coverage to include the upper northeast, southeast, southern, and south central U.S. through partnerships with AMA Transportation, Wilson Trucking, Southwestern Motor Transport, Dependable Highway Express, and Speedy Transport.

  • Must posses a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License with no pattern of moving violations/accidents in either a personal or commercial vehicle.
  • Must posses or be able to obtain a current DOT physical card.
  • Must meet DOT and company requirements related to drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must pass a company road test.
  • Must have 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Must be 23 years of age or older.
  • Must have knowledge and comply with DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, pre-trip and post-trip inspection and proper hooking and unhooking of trailers.
  • Must be able to read and write and have the mental capacity to manually complete required paperwork and reports, and to operate mobile communications system. Must have pleasing personality and cooperative attitude.
