Gah! I missed the go! Buton. It should be there now 🤦
Anyone have experience with US Xpress? If this is no good, what should be looking for as far as pay goes?
I have a year experience and my girlfriend has around 6 months. We would like to start teaming around March.
Looks like you left something out of your post.

I wasn't aware of the clc app, I should have checked 🤦 gonna download it now so I can stop calling random hotels lol
We use CLC and they have their own app. It allows me to see every hotel in network and a rating. Also has filters I can select for any ammenties, pets, pool etc but most importantly truck parking. Granted, its still best to still call the hotel to confirm truck parking and check google maps to see if its realistic getting in AND OUT. Do any of your cards have an app or site you could use?

So I'm a line haul driver and often get sent to lay over in places I've never been. Sometimes finding a good hotel can be a real pain. Would a forum where drivers and rank/review hotels in different states that accept the various travel cards be useful to anyone other than me?

Union companies that hire teams
Thanks! I'll have to take a look at Ruan.
Unions typically have better pay, better benefits, more days off, and a pension.
Why union? I only ask because I think it might be hard to go team/otr/union. I’m curious to see what answers you get on this question. Have you done a google search for this situation?
You could always look into UPS, linehaul. Maybe. They've been bounced around lately; unsure. Transforce in Canada isn't union, because we are looking into TA/Dedicated here....and I think they've gotten that part of the UPS umbrella. Again, it's all over the place; not sure.
Above, asked/answered. Tom's brother was Union with Kokosing, (w/ a CDL A for) a paving company, but wasn't a 'driver' per se; just relief here & there. Yep, bennies & pension were (still are) great. Tom (his brother / my husband) took a different path, for whatever reason. Kokosing wasn't hiring when he (Tom) was looking back then.
Again, CHECK RUAN !! (We did, recently... great place; even trains a bit, loves teams!)
Carry on; best wishes!~

Yep, he's home . . . early!

Union companies that hire teams
Hi all, my SO just recently got her CDL and is doing OTR for a year while I need to stay local (linehaul). Once I can go OTR we want to team and would prefer a union company. Is there a list anywhere of union companies that hire teams?

Pretty happy with the training Saia has given me so far
You have to have your doubles/triples, tanker, and Hazmat endorsements. I'm starting as a city driver so I'll be pulling 48's for the most part but I might have a 53' occasionally. Doubles and triples are our line haul drivers. I'm hoping to move into that after a few months.
Glad to hear the extra training is helping you boost your confidence. Do you have your doubles/triples endorsement? Do you plan on pulling doubles at some point in the future? Can you start out pulling doubles with Saia if you wanted to? Just curious.

We're in Phoenix right now but have no real ties to the area.
