Where does a Truck Driver sleep in Winter?

Am I the only one who thought that was a lead in to a dirty joke?

Saw an oops today

I was driving through Paterson, NJ (driving a 16' box truck building work history to go to company sponsored training}. Saw a Prime rig that had tried to make a right onto Main St. Bad corner especially with the snow/ice piles. He took out the traffic signal pole and all. Lots off cops. Driving in New Jersey/Northeast can be tough, be careful guys.

Long Term Patience Update

Yes I was told that. However I was working on an unofficial "circuit" of work. Multiple locations/bosses. Way to many to try to track down and most would have been reluctant to put their name on paper.

Long Term Patience Update

Hey all, Since joining the site a year ago I've been learning patience. I got my permit and tried to get into company sponsored school. Found out you had to have 12 months of verifiable employment out of the last 18 months. I had been working under the table so I couldn't provide that. Instead of whining and giving up I went out and got an on the books job. 6 months to go and I can apply again. If you truly want to do this, think long term. Even if you are an old guy like me. (52 Years). Keep posting, I love to read them.

DMV Headaches

Thanks Old School. Went down today and everything went smooth. Officially have a CDL Permit with endorsements. Taking the DOT physical at the end of the week.

DMV Headaches

Hey all,

New here, 51 years old getting prepped to go to school. Wanted to get all my ducks in a row before committing to a school so there wouldn't be any surprises (CDL Permit, DOT Physical etc)

Anyway the dmv here only takes checks or money orders no cash or bankcards. So I emailed the website, told them I wanted to transfer my license to PA, get learners permit with Airbrakes, doubles/triples and tanker endorsements, how much for the money order? They emailed me back, went down today, not only were they $20 off in what they told me but it has to be a separate money order for each transaction.

Frustrating but I'll keep moving forward.

Greg
