Looking for SAP friendly company

First off I would like to say that I have never failed a drug screen. The company I drove for, for a very brief period, last year reported to the Clearinghouse that I refused a "random" drug test. What they failed to disclose to the Clearinghouse is that this test was a hair follicle test requested from their new insurance company. I quit with them July 16, 2022. According to the violation report, they reported this "refusal" on July 19, 2022. I had to take some time off in order to deal with some health issues. I went back to work on April 6 this year. In April 21 I received an email from the Clearinghouse stating that I had a violation. The company I was driving for was at a loss for words also as this violation wasn't on my record when they hired me. No one knew it was there. I don't understand the Clearinghouse/fmcsa not following their own rules/regulations. The rules are pretty clear as to what drug tests and refusals are reportable. Same for where and how drug tests are to be done. This company never had a time/date/place set for any sort of test, let alone a DOT approved facility/test location. The rules are also pretty clear that any reportable test must be done while on the clock. This company was repeatedly asking me to do this hair follicle test during my home time. I have filed a dispute, with plenty of documentation, and have been given an expedited review. Was told I would receive an answer within the next 14 days. All of that being said, I went ahead and did the SAP program just to hopefully get back to work sooner. I'm located in Omaha, Ne and have a little over 18 mos experience, mostly reefer

Anyone know anything about Butler Transportation?

Thanks for the insight guys! I test for my license on the 4th and will be headed to KC for orientation within a few days afterwards. Christi has been great to work with so far and has been on top of things to get me going. I've had a few offers from other companies but Butler has been very proactive on getting everything taken care of and keeping me informed on what the process is. Sorry Western Express but you lose out. So many unreturned calls and messages.. Looking forward to getting my career going at Butler😃

I am just exploring all options right now. I've been trying to contact Western Express for the past week but have gotten no reply to my voice messages. Maybe he's on vacation, I'm not sure. Anyway, I figure putting in applications is always a good thing. If Western Express ever gets back to me that is who I still plan on going with😃

Anyone know anything about Butler Transportation?

Hi everyone! Was just looking for some information about Butler Transportation. They are a single terminal company based in KC. Was looking for reviews from current and former drivers but haven't really found much that is recent. The reviews I have read seem fairly positive but the negative reviews do concern me as they are all pretty much over the same issue of no detention or holdover pay. Anyway, does anyone have any insight?

I'm 52, a felon, and currently in a CDL training school

No Frey Miller did not turn me down. They offered me a job also. I chose western express because A) They offered a guaranteed weekly minimum that was pretty good. B) Western express was better able to accommodate my parole officers needs as far as trip plans. C) Frey Miller is short on trainers and there may have been a substantial delay before I would be able to work.

By no means do I have anything at all bad to say about Frey Miller. They were great to talk to. It's just that western express was a better fit for my current needs

Wanted to say THANKS to everyone for their input. I'm in my last week of training and have already accepted a job offer with Western Express. Just have to get that license and then go thru the Clearing House, which will be no problem. Again, thanks everyone!

Wanted to give a special thanks to Jammer. I've been talking with Frey Miller and things are looking fairly promising so far. Nothing definite, but very promising! 😁

Hi everyone! I recently got into a cdl training school and have obtained my permit to begin the driving portion of the course. My question is, who may be the better companies that may be willing to give me a chance? My conviction is over 8 yrs old, although I do have a handful of months remaining on my parole. My PO is cool with the driving and he even encouraged me to get my cdl. I'm just not sure if there are many companies out there that would be willing to hire me considering the fact that I still have a few months of parole left.
