Hey RealDiehl on that windalert.com you were saying you can't get it to show you your actual location? I found a way to do it. Under live wind select the wind map, on the next screen there is a green square with 3 lines in it, select that. Then choose wind and gust map..scroll down to customize in the same box and under background select map. Hope that helps!!

I Mainly never have over an 11,000 lb load and the winds today are at 25 without gust. So your saying you would stop already? I'm right there with you.

Thanks for the reply. I have looked at the wind chart and what I take from it is that I shouldn't even be on road in the winds I have been driving in. May I ask what would be your judgment call?

Driving in windy conditions

I am on a dedicated route that goes from Tennessee to North Hollywood I travel I 40. I have drove out here for over a year and a 1/2 now in the winds never bothered me and till I took this dedicated route. The loads that I carry are usually around 10 to 13000 pounds. Sometimes I feel like the wind is defeating me so my question is when is enough enough and when is it time to pull over?
