A CFI update 2021

Okay cool, thank you! I emailed the guy yesterday letting him know that I sent my application in and I haven’t gotten a response yet, but I assume the recruiters are fairly busy right now, so. I’ll just go ahead and get my DOT physical scheduled just in case and I’ll try to handle the permit next week as well. Thank you!

Rhino, Good luck. It should be business as usual. Changes will happen just roll with it.

Shawn, it really depends. Get your DOT card and permit. If you can start your hazmat background check. It's always best to contact recruiters by email unless they tell you otherwise. It usually goes from slow to jet speed.

Good luck.

A CFI update 2021

Will do! Do you know how long it usually takes for an application to be reviewed and to get accepted?

Good luck Rhino!

Thanks Realdiehl. I'm not sure how the UPS trucks will be branded. The UPS trailers will also be rebranded.

Shawn L., Best of luck. If I can be of any help let me know.

Rhino, Good luck. We are always in near of drivers.

A CFI update 2021

This is great news for me! I just talked to a recruiter on the 16th and submitted my application Sunday night. I guess I’m just waiting on word now to see if I’ve been accepted or not; in any case I’m getting my ducks in a row to prepare for the DOT physical and CDL permit test.

Can’t wait to be a part of this amazing company!

Some CFI Questions...

Okay, thank you so much for the clarification! I'm really hopeful that I'll be accepted. No DUIs or anything like that, and I don't smoke or drink so I know I'll pass my drug test with flying colors as I usually do. As long as CFI doesn't care about a 5-over speeding ticket that I got two years ago, I'll be good to go. I'll wait a bit to submit the application to make sure I have the money ready to pay for the DOT physical and all but as soon as I have that ready I'll go ahead with it. Thanks for your help! Maybe I'll get lucky enough to have you as my trainer, lol.

You will get your permit and med card at home. Save receipts and you will get reimbursed for those. They may send you for a drug test while at home, their dime. Right now your schooling will be in Missouri and you will test there. You will not get a Missouri CDL, your scores will be sent to your home state and you will just have to pay and pick it up there. You can do that while out with your trainer. When you apply you will be assigned a recruiter. Recruiters are best contacted by email. Once accepted, be ready to go, things will happen quick.

Hope that helps. I'm happy to answer any other questions you may have.

Hope to see you in the growing CFI family.

Some CFI Questions...

Hello all! So I've been thinking really hard about pressing the submit button on my CFI application, but I've got a question for anyone who works or has worked there about the company-sponsored CDL training that I haven't found the answer to. Say everything goes well and they accept me, am I supposed to get my CLP before I head to Joplin, or do I get that while IN Joplin along with my actual CDL (when the time comes)? I've heard that you will get the CDL in Missouri obviously, and then transfer it to your home state (mine would be Michigan) during hometime or whatever. But what's the story with the CLP?

Really excited to start my trucking journey, I've been eyeballing jumping into it for a while now but just recently decided to finally go on with it. CFI has been my main choice since the beginning, I haven't heard anything particularly bad about them that isn't shared across any carrier you go to, AND they have a terminal in Taylor, MI...just a 20-minute drive away from my home!

Looking forward to any help I can get!
