I really appreciate all that advice . I've learned not to listen to all the things people say. One thing I'm worried about is weather or not I'll be able to absorb all the info they will feed me. I know swift will take good care of me at their school. I'll just go in and try my best.

Well ladies and gents. I have been accepted to Swifts Driving academy. I will be leaving for school July 28th. I'm super excited but also a little nervous.

I already have my cdl but i applied to attends swifts school and to work for them and got a call from recruiter. She said they would review my app and get back to me with next steps. Anyone know how long that takes. I guess they have to run my dmv report and verify employment? I have no issues on my app that would prevent me from getting a job in trucking. I sent the app in yesterday around noon and getting nervous bc i havent heard back. I also applied with driver solutions to attend their refresher course. Maybe i just need to be patient?

They processed mine over the phone. But you definitely have to bug them. My recruiter s name was veronica . She set me up and I leave for school the 28th of this month.

So I have put a app in at knight transportation for the squire cdl training program. But have yet to here anything from them. Does anybody know if any other companies pay you weekly from the first week in school like knight does? I'm kinda at a road block right now and trying to lay out my options because I will no longer be able to go to roadmasters as planned.

The bank will have to call the number on the check and get the auth number. It makes it more secure for them. I had an issue with my bank when I did it .myself. they had to call the support center to confirm which took extra time.

Yes.. when you get hired you will receive a ComData card. That is used for fueling and for your check. You can set up direct deposit as well. First two or three weeks will be on card. You can also get comchecks from your DM or any truck stop and use those for pulling cash off your card and deposit in your bank account. Trainer should explain, may also ask them.
