Physical Control on MVR! Who Will Hire Him?

Please share the name of your husband's company and who to contact.

Thank you for your kindness.

Most welcome!

Stop back & let us know how things go.

Heck, when he's done with school, my husband's 'local/intrastate' company might even take him on; they've been getting more lenient, as have many companies this past year.

Let me know~!!

Thank you. Where are list of second chance companies. I figured these existed but don't know how to access.

He is now settle in on doing regional. Understanding that his situation may not make him a preference so he'll have to get in where he fit in.

Yes agreed. Apply everywhere.... Expecting local is over reaching due to being limited. He may have to do a tear at a swcond chance company first

Hay, Tina!

To answer your question first off, the blue tab right under the 'Ladies' Category' tab, that says 'All Topics By Tag' will help you greatly; you can search posts of people in similar situations.

This may help also: Companies that hire with DUI's

I know his situation isn't a DUI, per se .... but I'm just giving examples of 'lenient' companies.

I'd still start with THIS LINK: Apply For Truck Driving Jobs and see who bites. Disclose EVERYTHING, in this quick & easy app. There's a couple companies within, that sure might take him on.

And just off the top of my head, Check with CFI, they evaluate situations on a case by case basis. Western Express is an EXCELLENT starting/second chance company, and so is Dutch Maid Logistics. CR England is another... these are just 'commonly known' to be more lenient and understanding.

I hope this helps, we wish y'all the best!

Physical Control on MVR! Who Will Hire Him?

Thank you.

He realised he was not able to drive and pulled over to a convenient store after calling me to pick him up.

He fell asleep with car off but keys were in the ignition. Someone saw he was sleeping and called 911.

When I pulled up he was already in handcuffs and the officers were super nice told me they had just read him his right so they had to take him in. They told me to go to police station and wait for them and it would be only an hour. They released him to me.

We hired a lawyer, prosecuter pulled convenient store video and it was entered in as Physical Control. No points were taken off of license. No further issues on his MVR.

He had been in the bar industry for 20 years and it was no longer serving him or our family and he decided that if he was going to live and be healthy he had to leave the industry.

I'm an RN with a consultant business but want to get into the business side of trucking.

He is not paying out of pocket for school. He was able to get the WIA grant because of the transition.

He had a local route job lined up with a friend who has FEDEX routes, however with the PC on his MVR the friend said he wouldn't be able to get him cleared with FEDEX to drive until one year after the conviction has lapse.

I will look at these resources.

Hey Ladies: I'm new here so please forgive me if I am not posting right.

My man is in trucking school now and we are looking to turn trucking into a family business.

In October 2020 he was arrested for being asleep in his car and was drunk. He had called me to ask me to come pick him up because he knew he was unable to drive and had pulled over at a convenient store to wait for me to arrive. Someone walked buy and saw him asleep and thought he was ill and called the cops.

As I was driving up, he was already in hand cuffs and I was told that they couldn't release him to me because they had just read him his rights. The officer said that they arrested him because the keys were in the ignition.

He was charged in February 2021 with Physical Control and had 0 points taken from his license.

He had a job lined up to drive local for a third party FedEx provider, but the owner said that FedEx wouldn't be able to clear him to drive until it's been a year or more after the charge. His friend works for the same company and has a DUI on his MVR that is less than 3 years old and is doing well with the company.

He is a little discourage, but still decided to go to CDL school. I told him that maybe this is God's way of separating him from these friends and him doing trucking on his own.

My question is, what companies will hire him with a Physical Control less than a year on his MVR. He can only do local and maybe regional. He was excited that this opportunity was offering him a no-touch routes and he knew several people there.

Please share any referrals.

I am honestly a bit discouraged too because our family really was counting on trucking to change our lives.
