NY expired DOT card since February.

I scheduled an appointment at the dmv and had them photo copy the medical card.

They told me they downgrade a license to class five if the medical certificate is expired. Then reinstate the CDL as soon as you provide a new one.

Thank you all very much. Yes I am as happy as that dog.

However. I remember my driving instructor ( this is 4 years ago ) telling me the license reverts only if you don’t renew it as a CDL or pay the higher fee.

I guess things have changed?

I got it done just now. The office said they fax it. Should I call the dmv in a few days to see if it’s in the system?

Hello. I can’t find this answer anywhere. I know it’s my fault. I let my dot medical card expire ( February ).

Does that mean I lose my CDL?
