For anyone working at CFI, what kind of PTO is offered and what are the stages/years, if you don’t mind me asking.

How long are you considered a student driver? What’s the typical time out and back?

Where all have you driven with CFI? Do you go to all 48 states?
You're welcome.

Thanks I appreciate it!
Yes, they start people every Monday. We currently have a terminal in KCMO and other terminals and drop yards around the country. For home time, you just need a place to park your truck and trailer. Most people park in a local truck stop. Our student training pay recently went up to 32 CPM while on the trainer's truck. I don't know the current pay scale for students when they upgrade. We are a growing company.
With CFI you don't lose the days you earn. You earn one day for every seven you are out and can save them up. You can take as many days as you want. I usually stay out six to eight weeks then go home for six or seven days. One you are eligible for vacation, you start earning that as you drive. It's PTO and can save it or use it. I think the most they let you save is 21 days. The first year you're eligible you will earn 7 days. Then it's 14 day for the next two years. Just divide the total days and divide by 52. That's how many days you earn each week.
I hope this helps.

Cool! Are they going to continue hiring awhile? This probably wouldn’t be until next summer. What does pay look like during that training time? Do they hire out of Nebraska? It looked like it from what I could find online. I also don’t know how that works with hometime and no terminal close to home. Appreciate the help!
Sure, what would you like to know?
The training is free with a one year contract. Transportation, hotel and meals are provided for you 3 weeks of school. Then 3 days of orientation and out with a trainer for 21 days. Then you upgrade to your own truck.
While on your trainer's truck you are dispatched as a solo truck, no team training.
CFI is a growing family. Safety is number one.

CFI And NYC
Does CFI force New York City? Or can you opt out?
