I have three pre-hires from these companies all which are going to hire me all I'd have to do is call and commit to either of them. Which ones would you guys suggest to be the better of the bunch as far as home time, pay, equipment, yada yada. Any and every bit of Info would help thanks my fellow truckers.

Thanks Thomas that is a big help! I'm just gathering and giving helpful tips myself on the schooling aspect, mostly. You seem like you have your sights on hard work a respect the hard working no bs or complaining workers.

4th week and halfway done at road masters driving school! This school rocks!

Just a quick shake down of how your weeks will flow. First weekend will be introductory to trucking. You will get your first log book do your mock applications and so on. Second week computer and simulator work and no more class work for the weeks that follow. Side note, if you Dont have your class A permit I suggest if possible get some study guides online and get that thing OUT THE WAY. One will be provided from road masters driving school as well. The reasons for getting it before you start school if it is possible is because, the time you could be spending on getting your etreads done and out of the way you use that time studying HARD for your permit which makes it hard to keep up with the people who do have their permits already. Your third weekend is straight and offset left and right backing the truck, pre-trip inspection, more backing, shifting inside the truck, and on road practice IF YOU HAVE YOUR PERMIT. Coming to the forth week to my knowledge we will be ally docking and parallel parking on both blindsides and driver side. If you want a more in depth description I'm new to this so if its possible follow me, shoot me a message or simply reply to the post.

4 weeks down 4 to go at road masters driving! I have a question?

Thank you guys the info is really helpful another common question, choosing a good starting company. With the emphasis on "good". Some say Werner Enterprises, others Schneider, and U.S express. It might be stupid to ask considering this question could mostly depend on my interest in the jobs. Well I guess where'd you guys start? What was your experience?

As a trucker did anyone maintain a somewhat nice, beginning living for their family? During your first year. I'm new to this site.
