It's only 120,000 miles or 60,000 miles depending on which contract you take. Also 12,000 miles for 6 week training.

How long did you have to wait for a mentor?
I waited 3 1/2 weeks with Celadon and I'd still be waiting if they hadn't changed their policy. But you as a female will have to choose a male trainer. They won't place you with one.

Finally got my CDL in my 7th week. You are not guaranteed a job after school. You will need to pass another backing and driving test. After orientation the trainer wait for females is at least a month, with refreshers and lease purchase people going first.

I'm in my 4th week of school. There are days when I'm not doing any driving or backing. On those days I'm out on the backing ranges hoping to get in the truck. I also spend a lot of time asking the scheduler to be placed on the list to drive or be on the range. The contract says 3 weeks but unless you've had previous driving experience it's not possible. There are people who've been here for 13 weeks or more just getting their CDL.

Wanting it bad enough is the only way you're going to make it here. Over crowding is a major problem here. I have managed to learn parallel parking and did pretty good. Drove again today and I finally got my brain to realize I'm driving a truck. I down shifted with very little problems. A major accomplishment seeing as the first time I couldn't do it at all.

Currently attending the Quality Drivers School. The instructors are great but there are way too many students and not enough instructors to meet demand.

Car Transition
I had to drive out of state in my explorer. I was constantly reaching to shift gears and trying to clutch. After driving for 7 hrs, I started searching for a place to stop for my break and pulled into Pilot using the truck entrance.
