The verdict is in……. 110 years concurrent life sentences
First I would like to wish all the truck drivers a MerryChristmas. Now about the sentence that was handed down to the driver in Colorado. First I'm retired after 39yrs of driving a semi truck with a clean driving record and million miles of safe driving. After driving the mountains of Colorado the west and Northwest I learned a lot. One thing I learned is you can't take a person with no experience driving plus no experience running in the mountains and put him or her in a truck that probably would run at least 70mph loaded to the hilt and tell them they have to be there tomorrow then I personally the company safety person and maybe the CEO of the company should be receiving the majority of the sentence. Having said that I believe that the driver is responsible for his/her actions and if you screw up like this young man did then you deserve what you get. If you couldn't read the signs that was his fault again the people he killed and injured deserve to be made as whole as possible.
