Tanker route ? Ugandan Utah to Vancouver Canada

Ok I'm back after a week out. Fyi i talked Audrey from Crst she would not give me info on how much i was going to make at crst for solo or teams after 5 mins of talking to her. I told her to pull my application. I don't have time for a company that will not give how much I'm going to make up front before orientation. I'm out . Took home 1900 cash this week as a new driver. Believe it or not new driver can make good money with less then 3 months driving.

Advice for my CDL test

Turn slowly and watch your left corner end while turning. Turn slow place your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel. Moving right is right left is left. turn slowly. I know its hard don't give up. watch the cones and don't hit them. you can drive forward no worries. if you miss your turning point.

Wade please let us know what the recruiter says about CRST and teaming. I have seen CRST daycabs in flatbed service; but never in dryvan.

Wade setting boundaries:

If this company has a clause where i can not drive for anyone but them im out.

CRST wants a return on their investment; thus you are required to drive for them a minimum time (12 months) in order to meet your training obligation. Otherwise they will want you to pay all or a portion of the obligation. Every company offering Paid CDL Training Programs has a minimum obligation. Fact is; we recommend a rookie driver commit to their first company at least 1 year.

...that’s only $770.00, I’m out.

As a rookie; you are being paid to learn. You can expect to make about 40-50k your first year. That’s pretty much anywhere. 2200 miles? That’s a rather low number; 2800 is a reasonable goal.

You still out?

Good luck!

I'll let you what the figures are after i get them. Currently avg 1400 a week as a new driver.

CRST is essentially team only driving.

I'll make sure and ask the recruiter again. She and I talked about Home weekly and solo Driving. After my 28 Day's of driving with a Mentor. If this company has a clause where i can not drive for anyone but them im out. Told the Recruiter im not in a big rush atm and i want to see what their offering on paper. So far i have found they may pay 32 cents cpm during my 28 days. After that 35 cents cpm after 3 to 5 months and 41 cents cpm after 6 to 11 months. Seam's a bit way too low for me atm if its trues what i found on their pay. If it's 35 cents after my 28 days with a mentor and i run solo lets say week 2200 miles Avg a week . That's $770.00 if that's the case im out.

After taking into consideration everyone's input im going to steer away from this one. Ill focus on Getting my Hazmat endorsement and check into CRST, or Schneider atm. I live near by their terminal's, it's not too far of a drive for work. The other carriers are not self-insured and require 6,9,12 months of Driving in my area.
