My Wilson Logistics Training Diary
Day 1
Van picked us up at 6:45 AM and took us to the training facility. First thing we did when we got there was went out to the truck and did the agility test (open/close hood, 3 points of contact in and out of the tractor, under the trailer to check kingpin, and 3 points of contact in and out the back of the trailer). Then it was back to the classroom until lunch, which was provided by the company via Jersey Mike's. After lunch, it was back out to the truck for our Pre-trip walk through. Overall a good day, a lot of information to take in all at once, but still a good day. With that said, I am off to have some dinner and study my pre-trip packet and 4 stage air brake script.

My Wilson Logistics Training Diary
Prologue March 13, 2022
I am sitting in my motel room in Springfield, MO. Training begins tomorrow morning at 6:45 AM when the shuttle van arrives to pick us up. Had a soak in the hot tub this afternoon as I may not have another chance. Felt pretty good 😉. Just been relaxing and studying my pre-trip packet.
Can't promise an interesting read as I told Anne in one of my previous posts that diaries and journals have never been my thing. But I did tell her I would try. So Anne, this diary is for you.😁😉

Good morning, Rusty. I will be starting my training with Wilson on Monday (3/14). So far, I have nothing but praises to say about Wilson. Both my recruiter and processor are both awesome ladies. Before I chose Wilson, my choices were Knight and Wilson. Wilson stayed in contact through the entire process, checking in once or twice a week. With Knight, there was about a week and a half or so with no check in from my recruiter to see how things were going. I cannot make your decision for you, but I think I will be happy with Wilson. I wish you good luck with whatever company you choose.

First Steps: I Want to Drive Big Rigs
Congratulations, Dennis. I am looking forward to starting my journey.
Archer Trucker and Jerry B.
Good luck with your CDL training with Wilson in Springfield.
I just finished my CDL training with Prime in Springfield yesterday. Wilson’s training program is very similar to Prime’s. I’m gearing up to start my 30k miles of team driving.

First Steps: I Want to Drive Big Rigs
I will be in Springfield. It is my understanding that with the sale of Wilson's Western Division to Ashley, they no longer have the facility in Missoula. Or at least that is what I have been told by my recruiter

First Steps: I Want to Drive Big Rigs
Hey, Archer. Who is/was your trainer at Kraft. I did my two weeks there as well. I start my 30,000 miles in the morning.
We also might have seen each other in passing at the terminal or even the Baymont. I got into Springfield on March 12 and didn't leave to come home until April 9th.
