Dot physical

In 2018, I went to a trucking school for US Xpress, and got sent home for admitting to using weed. I was 3 months clean at the time, but i used some CBD from a gas station so I dont know if I passed or failed my drug test. They sent me packing just for admitting it. They told me to enroll in a drug program if I wanted to come back, but I just didnt have the time, or money to get the process started. Fast forward 3 and a half years later, I was told to just go to another trucking school and i would be okay. Will this issue follow me if I took my talents to another company? Thank you in advance
