ScottyB's Bio

-Served in the U.S. Coast Guard for ten years. -Worked in a shipyard doing health and safety (in California). -I need a job that feels like it matters, that gives me a sense of purpose like the military and shipyard work. I am confident that I will find this in the trucking industry. Cannot wait to get out and drive.

New Truck day

That's a sweet looking ride!! There's a Knight terminal 40 minutes from me; has me thinking now :)

Thank you Anne!! I'm fortunate that my GI Bill will be paying the tuition. That's a lot of great information in those links and much appreciated :)

Ready for school.

So I passed the DOT physical and got my learners permit this past Monday. I'll be attending the Tampa Truck Driving School in November; my plans are to seek pre-hire letters from Knight and Swift (they are both relatively close to home). As a service vet I am excited to have a job again that feels like it matters and gives a sense of purpose. Just wanted to share my excitement. You all stay safe out there :)
