Why Does This Crazy Stuff Keep Happening To Me?
For the most part I think it is unfair to judge a person based on the job that they do. Instead, consider how well they do their job👍
Yep, you're right on the money. Anyone who does and honest job is to be commended. Surprised at how many people were offended by my sarcastic remark about a "prestigious" job. That's why I put it in quotation marks, it was a tongue in cheek remark.
I too worked in the restaurant industry for years and would always tell the waiters to not go crazy with all that cash they made. Of course I knew exactly how much they made in tips but they used to exaggerate a little or a lot to their peers.
It's also like some people in the trucking business who constantly brag that they pull six figures and up. One of my best friends used to do the same and when he offered me a job and we looked at numbers, after expenses, insurance, repairs, gas and the many things that come with this, he wasn't pulling nearly as much as he used to claim he was.
But anyways, good day to you all, stay safe

Atlanta and I are in an abusive relationship.
Atlanta is straight up combat during the day. I always try for night time through there as well. Id rather drive Houston, Dallas and LA combined.
Worst 3: LA Houston Atlanta
Best 3: Telegraph, TX population 11 Gilbert, AR pop 28 Dorset, MN pop 24
If you ever get to drive down 377 towards Del Rio, TX, that route is very scenic. You pass thru Junction, Telegraph, Rocksprings, etc.

Some owner operators are like waiters who exaggerate the amount of tips they get every day. I always got the feeling for waiters it was a way of justifying why they were only waiting tables and not doing something more "prestigious."

Diesel shortage especially out east
Sadly even if the manager said yes, you could still be told by some parking security guard to leave. It's tough. I look at Google maps for Lowe's and many times the back or side streets have places to park at
