You run out of time on 14 hr. What do you do?

Thank you I wasn’t sure if I could log post trip with no time left on clock. so I didn’t about a week ago and had to spend 6 hours of my 34 reset technically still working

PC home, park then log “on-duty” for 5-10 min to perform your post trip. Log-off duty once completed. You’ll get your full 34 at home.

You run out of time on 14 hr. What do you do?

Made my own forum but wanted to post here as well so say your at a reciever and run it of hours in your 14 hour day and you are there waiting another 3-4 hours off duty but your supposed to take a 34 reset when done. I know I could pc to where I need to go to take my 34 but if do so I remain off duty and my 34 reset has started back when I was still technically working at the reciever getting unloaded….. so what can I do to make sure I get my full 34 reset? Can I log a post trip once parked with no time left on clock? If so will that start my 34 reset after that’s complete? or will my 34 reset still have been started while I was getting unloaded?

Question about the 34 hour reset rule

So say your getting unloaded and your clock runs out and you sit there for another 3-4 hours getting unloaded with no clock left but when you leave your done your supposed to take a 34 hour reset and you live less than 50 miles away yes I know I can pc home but if I do that my 34 hours will technically have started once I went off duty originally at the shipper when I ran out of hours in my workday. My question is what can I do to make my 34 hour reset start once I’m home? Can I log a post trip with no time left on clock to make my 34 hours start once home?
