This will probably be my last update for a while. On the road with my trainer was rough. I learned so much and I’m really grateful for the opportunity witte brothers has given me. Five weeks on the road training completed. Passed my solo skills test evaluation today. They gave me a 2020 peterbilt 579. Comes with smart air apu refrigerator microwave a smart tv and DVD player. Im very happy yet nervous at the same time I have only been trained on a freightliner cascadia so I’m relearning how to back again. Have my first run already scheduled I kick out tomorrow at 2000 for Minnesota. I did it! I’m so happy and relieved to not have to share a truck with another person anymore. I want to thank you for this rather detailed diary. I am inthe process of getting my CDL and stumbled across Witte Bros. As a veteran I want a company that willbe there if you need them. Sounds like Witte is that company. Stayin on top of maintaining trucks, throughly training new drivers and the trainers seem to be, from what Im understanding, great. Yes a solo truck is nice but also having someone beat great fundementals in you is also nice. I do a phone interview on Tuesday. Hope it works out. Ive decided its Roehl or Witte Bros. but to be honest something keeps me coming back to Witte Bros page. I guess Ill see on Tuesday. Ive got my CLP, Medical Card and ELDT done already. I dont know if thay will help my progression any but we will see. Lastly, do you still work for Witte Bros?
