I have been in touch with Steven’s and they are willing to train me. I got several rejection emails very quickly for the same reason so gave up. I live in Deming NM, about 100 miles West of El Paso. Many companies have a 50 mile radius from there. Thank you for the encouragement.

Have tried every place and all do not hire from this area. No freight here. Wow! There are CDL schools and some places who do internships. Have to figure out how to pay for this.

I applied to school with Prime Inc. and received a letter back that they are not taking students from my area at this time. I live in southern New Mexico about 100 miles from El Paso Texas. Apparently this is some kind of thing, as 2 other companies that I applied to for their CDL program also told me the same thing. My other option is to go to a community college or private school, but the closest one is in El Paso 100 miles away, and I can’t afford it out of pocket. How does one get a sponsorship, for training at a school. I didn’t know it was gonna be this hard, and that my area was going to be the hold up.
