How to get my application approved for truck driving school.

May be some of you guys can help. I want to get my CDL with one of the trucking schools. I applied to Wilson Logistics because they seemed to have the best training scenario and training pay. I went through the application process and never got a call back. When i called the recruiter to see where we were on my application, they stated they had better qualified applicants. When i asked what that meant i was told they get 1000 applications a day for 15 slots. If that is the case i would never encourage anyone to apply. If that is the case with all schools what real chance do I have of making this happen. Thanks for any and all help.
