So last January I got with this company and I can honestly say I was poorly trained I had just received my CDL in December I got it on my own and the training I received with this company was not adequate enough I believe. So for my training they set me up with a company driver who did things his way not the company so by the time I got in my truck I was doing things the same way he did them and there were a couple of things that I wasn't doing correct that lead to my end there. The main thing was my post trip even tho he never did his so i wasn't trained on doing them.. long story long.. I got one preventable from driving on the grass at my mother's house the neighbor was upset and called the company because I messed the lawn up by the driveway mind you she lives in Millington tn lots of fields. They said because she called them first and I didn't notify them I was in trouble and was supposed to do some training but never did it. My next preventable happened while at a shipper I was trying to maneuver back into the spot but they had a patch of grass sitting in the way and I rode in the grass to back in and the shipper got angry and I had to call the company so they could pay her and that was my second preventable my third preventable was my fault I mean they all were but I feel like the first two should not have led to my termination but the third one I was in Chicago and I did what every trucker told me not to do I used Google maps and ended up hitting a bridge I didn't do too much damage just a dent in the trailer and the bridge was good very sturdy. But ever since then that was last April I was terminated I have not been able to find it new job trucking does anyone know any companies for second chance I'm in Houston Texas by the way.
