William V.'s Bio

Driving for 6 years for 2 different companies. I was let go for distracted driving when the company upgraded the inward facing camera. Company never did say that this new camera picks up on eye movement. Long story short I was written up and suspended, then terminated. if you look away for than three seconds it will say "distracted driving". The name of the camera is called Driver I.

Having trouble getting hired on.

For the past three weeks, I've been trying to get hired, but keep running into problem of trying to fit the companies profile of what they want in a driver. This company's recruiter said that I haven't had any OTR work in awhile. I did it before over five years ago. I've done overnighters before. That wasn't good enough. They needed a least two years worth recently. I told the recruiter that when I started six years, it didn't matter how much experience you had. It all came down was you able to drive anywhere. Now if you don't jump through the right hoops, you can't get hired. Has anybody else having the same problem?
