well hey guys it’s been a while since I posted so let me catch you up on things. Well I’m not at Pam any longer while I was at school I had a real bad dizzy spell and about passed out so they asked me to come home and see my doctor which I did. They ran some tests and discovered I had a growth inside my skull which after more tests it was determined that it wasn’t cancerous thank god. So they treated me and then cleared me to persue my driving career. Well some things happened at Pam that I didn’t appreciate one major thing was I had an instructor who had only 2 years driving experience tell me to just forget everything I knew keep in mind that I have about 15 years of all accident free driving under my belt.who in the hell does he think he is. Anyhow this ****ed me off big time so I decided not to go back. Instead I made an appointment at our dmv and used a buddy of mines tractor and trailer and took my test which I passed with flying colors . So I’m now a licensed cdl holder and it didn’t cost me $7,000 like Pam wanted. Well my buddy decided that he didn’t feel like driving anymore and asked me if I wanted a job. Needless to say I was thrilled to death. So I’m presenting running a dedicated run from Louisville my to Cleveland Ohio for ford motor company haling engine blocks. And I’m making more per week that Pam couldn’t come close to paying any of there drivers. So there you have it your all caught up I’ll be sure to drop in once in a while so keep on trucking and be safe god bless you all

you should be fine as long as it’s been that long I wouldn’t worry about it but I would suggest staying off it permanently if your going to take up a driving career now

well day one went pretty good of course it was class room and wow the stuff that has changed is unreal. I actually think im gonna like the ELD no more figuring out the recaps it does it all for you and tells you exactly how much time you have left on your times that’s pretty cool. There’s only 5 other students in my class and there all new drivers and you can tell there a little intimidated by it all especially after they showed a video on what you need to do to pass your cal test for the state of Arkansas. But there all good guys I think they will do just fine. I’m also liking the instructors I know I’ve read some negative posts about them from previous students and so far I don’t get it but then again this is only day one. So I’m gonna get out of here for now so be safe guys and as always god bless

I might (hopefully!) be getting training soon!
grats James you can do this I can tell by the excitement in your posts. I’m just getting back into the industry myself after being gone a while and I’m totally stoked. Listen to these fellow hands advice you don’t need anything negative going on in your head while your going through your training. My advice is make some friends in your class and feed off each other’s positive vibes. You will get through it and there right flat bedding is a blast I think your going to enjoy it but it does come with allot of responsibilities. So keep you head clear listen to what there going to teach you and just shut out all the negative crap from the wife. If she’s not supportive then you don’t need that trust me I’ve been there did that as I’m pretty sure 3 out of every 4 drivers have. Again James congratulations your going to make it just keep the attitude you have right now and you will be golden

yeah guys 10-4 on you and the DM/Dispatchers being a team I’ve learned over the years if you make him or her look good to there bosses IE getting loads delivered there more than happy to keep those wheels turning. That’s exactly what I’m hoping for. Don’t get me wrong I’ve had my fair share of bad ones in the 16 years of pounding the pavement. I’ve also had super stars that I loved. So I got my fingers and toes crossed that once he or she realizes I’m not Pam’s average trainee and they can depend on me to go the extra mile that they run my butt off. I’m beyond excited to get that steering wheel back in my hands I promised my daddy before he passed that I would return to what I love and I’m doing just that so I’ll keep you guys posted as always be safe and god bless all of you
