Prime will hire people in your situatuon and would even allow her to train you.... however.. they may state she must be with prime for 90 days before veing eligible to do so.

I really appreciate that answer. I guess I never thought of how different it would be. We've been on long road trips several times and spend a lot of time together already so we really don't think it would be a problem. I'll do more research into it regardless! The experience part is definitely the hardest part to get over and I'm sure I may just have to tough it out and start solo for a while then try for as n otr position. Thank you!

There is one regular member here who did team. He is Stevo and he was with CRST. Have you called them?

The company I drive for has only one husband and wife team that I know of. But each driver has to have at least 6 months experience. We have two other couples, but they each drive separate trucks. One couple tried to team but it didn’t work out as a team so they each went solo with the company to avoid a divorce.

Have you ridden as a passenger with the GF? If so, I guess you must have gotten along well enough to consider the team thing. But driving team would be different from just being a passenger. I’ve heard that team driving as a couple is very hard on a relationship. Have you really thought this through?

You might want to consider getting some experience as a solo driver before doing team. Honestly, I would be very nervous doing team with a new driver. I don’t think I could sleep for fear of an accident.

Hello everyone! I've recently joined this forum and reading through some of the posts, I'm really glad a friendly place for newbies exists!

My girlfriend and I are trying to do OTR team driving together. She has over 4 years of experience already and I have none. What would be the best way to find companies that are willing to take the chance on hiring us? Would the fact that I went through s private school hurt my chances of getting hired? I'm completely be too this world and have a lot to learn. I'll be reading through the forums and material that provided here but any advice or links to things I should try to look into will help!
