Terminated

I feel this so hard. They gave me two local TE for me, an OTR. I feel they did not properly train me. I now have 5 preventable accidents on my record. 3 of those were tows for being stuck in the mud. The other two were non injury incidents. I don't know what to do now. I have so many stories 😫 I'm sorry they also did you wrong.

I was terminated from Schneider 1 month before I made a year for safety violation. Schneider claim I did not secure the container to the chassis. That the front of the container was sitting on the pins. They said I took the container from the rail yard but could not tell me what rail yard. When I asked to see the container, they showed me pictures of the container but never let me see where the container was located. 1) there is no was I took a container from a railway with the container being on the front pin. That is something you can see just walking up to the container. 2) The rail yard would not have cleared inspection for me to leave. 3) They would not send me pictures of the the container. 4) I never received termination paperwork.

No, I do not have a spotless record. I do have providable incidents on my record. But those where in my first few months of working and they were for going to fast around curves, breaking a light with my mallet. The worst one was at the Samsung yard in San Diego and that according to personnel working there, happens on the regular because of the way the yard is made.

Schneider has made it very hard for me to get another truck driving and my unemployment was denied because of them. I want to fight the termination but have no money for a lawyer. Can someone tell me what I should do? Thanks.

Preventable Accidents

Hello all. I started driving in January. The company I was hired with, had me go through their training..then they put me with their local TEs..for 2 weeks(a week each). Now, I was OTR..I don't see how running with locals would help me with anything I might run into on the road. My first week out after that training (alone), I was sent to PA..I inevitably got stuck following my gps. Mind you I have never been to PA, so I was not familiar. I got stuck and had to call the authorities to get me out. It ended up being a preventable (fine, I get it) no citations. In the month and a half following. I got stuck in the mud a few times and needed a tow. 3 more preventables. Then my last one I hit a customers pole and knocked it sideways. I feel like I didn't get the adequate training I needed. I'm sorry this is so long winded. But I feel wronged by the company. Am I justified to fight these preventables? They let me go and now I have 5 on my record.. no one wants to hire someone with these on their record. I don't know what to do now. Someone please give me some insight. TYIA
