Kevin B.'s Bio

My name's Kevin. I'm 47, and live in Ft. Myers, FL. I consider myself a little old to be just getting started in trucking, but I regret not doing it sooner. I'm divorced, and have two children. My daughter is older and on her own, and my son is probably one of the big reasons I haven't done this sooner. I think I'm making a good move, and am truly looking forward to the lifestyle - I think it will suit my personality well.

Although I have my status as "considering a career". I'm no longer considering the career, it's now a matter of which company.

Swift Pay?

Yes.. when you get hired you will receive a ComData card. That is used for fueling and for your check. You can set up direct deposit as well. First two or three weeks will be on card. You can also get comchecks from your DM or any truck stop and use those for pulling cash off your card and deposit in your bank account. Trainer should explain, may also ask them.

I don't understand the whole ComData concept. My paycheck is on the same card that I use to pay for fuel??? I might just be overthinking this, but it sounds like I'm paying for my fuel. Can someone please give me the "ComData for Dummies" version, please?
