18Wheelerchick's Bio

I love being on the road! Currently recovering from a torn rotator cuff and miss the open road! My husband and I team drove and I guess I miss him too! LOL! I have become his CFO, Personal Assistant, researcher, and all-around tech chick. I don't mind because it keeps me connected to the trucking community.

No company will hire a R.S.O.

So I've obtained my cdl class A and have been applying to the major trucking companies and every time I get asked the Criminal Background I flop! Is there any independent owners who are looking for a 2nd driver who gives the person a decent chance despite their background? I have a 5 year clean MVR and not accidents or DUI's/DWI's.

Schneider, Swift, Werner, CR England and Dart have said no so far.

Any help would be appreciated. Currently doing day labor as a sign holder (Human Directional).

Did you try Prime?? As long as your honest about your previous troubles and meet other requirements, they may take you on. they usually look at things like this on a case-by-case basis. They did with my husband...worth a conversation with a recruiter. He has been with Prime for over 16 years, and I was with them for 12 years. Prime is a good company that cares about its drivers.
