Prime "quick start" training program
Prime is a good training program and you will go to the backing pad and the shifting pad before going straight to the road. Once you learn how to shift you can manage the rest on the road. the Trainer should help U back every time that truck backs up if it's 3 am your ass better get up and back the only way your gonna learn. Just go slow and watch every thing around you. Common sense use it. I'm in my 3rd week. Your gonna be away from home not Showering for 2-3 days. Your not going to know what day of the week it is cause they start running together. U may not remember were you where at 2 wks ago. Your gonna work weekends holidays or maybe stuck sitting the entire holiday in some remote location. That's the trucking truth. I love it every minute of it. If you like never knowing what's next Then you will love this job. It's not for the faint at heart. Man up.

Day 4 and all is well I have everything in order including a prospect trainer. I'm hoping it works out and we leave on Saturday. I'm ready to Rock N Roll. Prime has been great . There was only 3 of us that made it out to the pad Initially, If you don't catch on your gonna get run over, things move fast you got to step up. Now for the real challenge getting in the trucking and learning not only how to drive but paper work , reading maps, following more directions. adjusting your life to living on the road. This ain't for the faint at heart. Only the strong will survive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow what a busy day up at 530 breakfast then on to paper work, Medical exam, interview, computer classes. 78 people in class. There seems to be a lot of strange people here. All and all it was a good day. They give you instructions and you better be able to follow and keep up, very fast paced and know ones going to hold your hand. The staff here are helpful when asked questions. It seems they want you to succeed. I'm exhausted.

This Sunday I fly to Missouri to start training with Prime. Everything seems to be going as planed. After I'm done with training and getting a check my wife will start hers. Our goal is run hard and bank every cent we can. I was told that as a team we can make up to 130K. I'm stoked.

Yea Brett, I can see the confusion, Lol. Yes we will drive for Prime for at least the year. I was just thinking after our obligation if we don't get miles or we just don't like how they conduct business. I already have had some issues with their recruiting, had to contact the Director of Training and Driver Recruiting. After a very respectful email telling him what bunch of rude unprofessional a@#$ his recruiting staff are he called me and we resolved the issues. So I'm just getting all the intel I can for future reference. Prime a good training company but may not be for the experienced drivers. What do I know? Lol.
Thanks Ernie that's good to know. I'm set to go. I'm waiting on my girl to get her AZ CDL permit, and get everything in order before we take off. We both still have to give our two weeks notice. Kasey just filled out the online app today. She is vigorously study a combination of the AZ CDL guide along with Brett's CDL program.

SWIFT in cab cameras
Old school is 100% right I worked for CEMEX who has dash cam/ driver and it only comes on when you brake suddenly , hit something or roll the truck. If your worried about it cover up the inside cam at night of when your stopped.
