CDL Training Materials Practice Tests are AWESOME!! Thank You TruckerTruth!
I used the High Road training program last year and for the past two days it has paid dividends in the permit testing. Today I got my TX permit. Scored a 95 on every test. The questions that I missed were very odd questions. 19/20 on each test is pretty good so I'm happy, though I was aiming for perfection. I am taking the Air Brakes test tomorrow so I'm reviewing that here on the site. TX has some nuances that are slightly different than the material on here but it's so minor that I can easily remember the differences.
Good Job! The High Road training was awesome, I read everything and took all the tests before going to the DMV, I passed ALL my tests - CDL, airbrakes, combos, doubles/triples, tankers, HazMat and class C w/motorcycle one the first try! (3 hours at DMV). Payed out of pocket for school and yesterday I Passed! I now have my CLASS A CDL w/all endorsments! Next I will be going to Schneider Bulk/Tanker Div. oreintation!
Good Luck to all, study hard and relax! You CAN do this too!

Starting CDL school on 7-14-2014 at CIT-LA in Bellflower, CA
My previous post from June is as follows : I started studying the CDL Training Material 3 weeks ago, today I went to the DMV took my written tests for CDL A, Combinations, Air Brakes, Doubles/Triples, Tankers, HazMat plus my M1 Motorcycle and Class C! 8 tests and PASSED them ALL! Will be starting school in a few weeks, just waiting on the WIA Funds to come through! I'm pretty sure I will be going to CIT-LA in Bellflower, CA, taking Heavy Equipment Operation,Loading/Securing/Hauling on Step-deck/Flatbeds and CDL A Trucking the teach you to operate and load so you can haul it too! Gives me more options for jobs! Thank You TruckerTruth for your excellent Info!
Update : I was cleared by TSA for my HazMat and TWIC, just recieved my Passport and now PAID IN FULL and enrolled in school, start on Monday 7-14-2014! I was not able to get the WIA funding (case manager had told me July 1st I would get the funds, I called and he now says end of Sept.!!!) I didn't want to wait just to get postponed again, so I paid out of pocket, should be able to get reimbursed when I get a job. I will be going through CIT-LA in Bellflower, will report on school as I go.

Another thing... someone said to take what the recuiters say with a grain of salt.... They are absolutely right... I'm not a recruiter, but with Brett's permission, I would be happy to post a list of tank truck company's that I know of who hire without experience and will still pay the top wage rate...
Please do, I am interested!

You Know You Want To Be A Trucker When.....
At 16, I drove a 26ft stakebed and was bit by the bug! I have always loved any type of vehicle, cars, dirt bikes, Harleys, dune buggies, even learned to fly airplanes! I have driven 26ft box trucks for work a few times over the years and now at 58, after getting laid-off I finally made the move and now I just got CDL! Will be starting orientaion with Schneider Tankers in a couple weeks if all goes as planned! It's been a long time coming!
