Recently passed my CDL Class A -after years of trying to achieve this through the company I work for and been told "no" no money in the budget-I decided to take things into my own hands. I am looking for information on the good, the bad and the ugly of being a truck driverand the best job that will fit my needs.

Where to start/ what to look for and what to watch out for
Hello! my name is Gina and I wanted to thank everyone on this site-it has been sooooo helpful plus I'm glad to see I'm not alone with being confused on some subjects of trucking. I just passed my CDL class A about a month ago-yeah! I thought going through the course was stressful, now I am overwhelmed with where to start looking. My "problem" is I have a full time job (not trucking) however I want to do driving part time for now-get some time and experience under my belt. With being a rookie I don't want to be taken advantage of - alot of companies offer, or seem to offer good pay packages, no touch freight, sign on bonuses-I'm just trying to determine what is fact or fiction.
Thanks again! you ladies are great!
