Recently was told by employer that I didn't need a Bol or manifest for items in trailer, I disputed it and refused to pickup merchandise. Was I wrong ?Could anyone tell me where in regulations to find the ruling on this so I can produce the information for employer. Thx for any replies

I was in shipping for 18 years and NEVER allowed a box, let alone an entire truckload to leave my warehouse without documentation. How does your employer know you had anything on the truck if there is no paperwork to back up your story? How will you get processed at the weigh station with no paperwork? I think you did the right thing.

I'm having trouble finding work I have speeding 15 plus from 7/3/11 in pmv and recently had accident in cmv cited for following to close which I have a court date 7/3/14 which I am disputing citation. Based apon the Smith system and cdl drivers manual it states 1 second for every ten feet of vehicle length add second for bad weather, which I'm sure all cmv drivers are aware of this . I was driving a 28 ft trailer with day cab tractor in my estimation that's 4 seconds, it was dry out and I felt had 5 seconds of cushion. Trooper sited me for following to close and says he is estimating my cushion at 4 to 4.5 seconds . This is not a final citation until court . Any help is greatly appreciated in finding job
