Need a job

Jim palmer, Will trans, and prime all are much more picky on who they hire. There may not have been anything against you it could be something as simple as not hiring from where you live right now. Have you checked out Paid CDL Training Programs . The unemployment is likely why in all reality. They're investing alot of time and money in you and want to ensure they get a return on that investment.

I looked at the stuff on this website for both pet policies and cdl training schools... I guess I cant have my cake and eat it too...lol

For the school phase and training on the road portion, you are not going to be able to bring any pets. That's any potential employer.

I understand this. I had actually prepared for them to be watched for 3 months with family.

Ate there any companies that will take 2 pets and pay for CDL training?

I found that PAM does but they dont hire out of Illinois for some reason and that's where I reside.

Need a job

I'm need to all this, but have been looking into trucking for quite sometime.

I finally bit the bullet and applied to Jim Palmer , but was denied employment within 24hrs. I asked why and the recruiter said " we will not be giving you a reason why" and that's a direct quote.

I have no moving violations and one non fault accident with no injuries in past 5 yrs.

I have been unemployed for 5 months and was released from previous job.

I chose them because I have 2 dogs I'm not willing to part with and they have a very relaxed pet policy, plus they pay for CDL training with a year contract.

Now because of my pets I dont see another company I can apply with.

A little discouraging as well as perplexing as to why I wasnt hired.

I am thinking of getting into this industry. I am located in southern illinois and there seems to be a lot of hiring going on here with someone with a cdl.

This is something I think I would enjoy...however learning to drive a truck looks a little intimidating. i mean these are large magnificent pieces of machinery. .. is it difficult to master piloting a rig? Things that concern me are backing up and steep grades....

I also did have questions about these jobs from swift and usexpress among a few others.

It seems they are offering NEW grads/students, local routes with home daily schedules and most weekends off with small signing bonuses and saying 35k to 45k first yr.

I have read on here that to get that kind of routing, pay and flexibility you need experience first...so I was wondering how genuine these offers really are for new drivers?
