James F.'s Bio

I will be graduating from truck school in two days and in three weeks I will take the CDL test. I will be getting my hazmat and TWIC cards soon. I would like to drive tankers with Schneider, but I'll have to start with dry loads first unless another company can train me. Tankers pay better, so why not go where the best pay is. Does anyone have any suggestions to reach my goal and what company would be best to drive tankers for.

Is Schneider trucking a good or bad company to start working for after truck school?

Have you ever driven tankers and did you like them. If you deliver fuel to gas stations, do they get paid well.

Can a truck driver take 'Vivanse" for ADD if the doctor gives a prescription for the drug?

Is it ok to take this med if the doctor prescribes it. Also the doctor gives a note to carry in your wallet.

I want to drive hazmat tankers, with heating oil or fuel. This is my 1st priority goal, but I will haul dry hazmat also if I can't get into tankers. Is it true, that when your a new driver, company's don't like rookies to start with tankers. Is this the truth?

I have to choose between Schneider, May, Swift, Werner. I have a hazmat endorsement and TWIC card. What would be my best choice and why?
