Newbie and want to take classes part time while keeping the night job
Update:
I went to another company call Solomon and Smith Trucking company, it a minimum deposit of $1,000 and you can either pay as you go or monthly payment via in house finance which come up about $117 a month and it extended up to 18 months. The lady in the office also said sometime companies offer to pay off the balance or the whole tuition.
So, my faith is back and I'll be working on a game plan to come up with $1,000 fast. Since I cant buy the house for another six months, this will help me save more toward the classes.
But then again do Credit Unions let you borrow money for truck driving classes?

So, I'm a bit bum out. Went to see Allstate Career and they said until I pay down my student loans, I can only get 5200 toward the tuition which mean paying 714 a month for six months.
The only other option I can think of is sign up with a company and leave my job completely and forget buying a house at the moment.........blah! If only I had decided to do this when I was laid off!!!

If someone is a newbie...............
That explain why they are the way they are. I did more research since this post and will be meeting with Allstate Career and after that make more phone calls. Thanks yall, I'll keep you posted.
PS When I told my Realtor what I was going to be doing she cheered me on and said to let her know when I'm done with classes, she know people in the business that may connect me :-)

That a good idea! I love leggings because they dont sit on top of my stomach like my jeans do. So if I'm driving for a long period of time, I need things to not sit on my stomach. lol

You would think people that work in the office at the truck driving school would know if you never done this before that more than likely you would not know what the difference between Class A and Class B. All I know so far is that I'm not going for flat bed and I want a "no touch freight". Everything else is to learn as I go
And who the heck got $5000 to give upfront????
Sorry for the newbie vent
