Spirit's Bio

Well......after 23 years as an ASL Interpreter in the education field. I'm ready to start my next chapter of my life and I'm only forty seven......lol. I will start DelMar college September 22,2014. I'm so excited !!!! I have been studying my CMV drivers handbook for about three days now. Watching you tube and taking practice text test online for CDL A and all the endorsements. Monday I will do the medical examiners certificate and the drug screening. Can't wait to make new friends here and start my new career.

Received my CDL A with all endorsements and TWIC :)

Everyone in Corpus Christi area. Today spoke with swift. I'm single so my goal is the just go over the road and do team. But my family really wanted me to do local first for safety But I really believe going over the road will give me the training I need and get me out of here :)

Thinking about just going with swift or knight .......

So as you know I have my permit. I took my skills test a few days ago. Failed it! So they have me going again in nov 12. My question is I really need some more shift time.....lol I think if I just join one of the company's that would pair me up with someone and I get some real road time in the go take the test......I would ace it. What do y'all think? Remember I only went to school for three weeks and only the last four days was drive time....or maybe five.can remember. We traded out every hour and there was three of us. And everyday we drove a different truck. So learning the truck all over again .....lol just saying.

So finished shcool .....I then waited two weeks before skills test at the DMV.

I went yesterday and failed....πŸ˜’ this truck had a very light clutch....I took off fine then got started and then I couldn't find the sweet spot. After fighting with it. The DMV tester asked if something was wrong with the truck? I said well I just found the sweet spot. It's like it needs no clutch.....Moshe told me the other testers before me that the others before me had the same thing happening to them.......now that really makes me feel better 😳. They all failed. So after fighting with it. And going back to the DMV I knew I wasn't passing from the Time I could find the sweet spot! And I know a truck is a truck is a truck.....but of you have had not me in that truck then how are you to know where the sweet spot is??? So should I just pay to rent an automatic so I don't have to stress about not knowing the truck. So I can just get though this skills test!
