Brian,

I currently drive for Prime and did go through their training program. You do get $200/wk advance while you are out with an instructor to get the experience needed to test out & get your CDL. The average time for this is about 2 - 3 weeks. It is advised to have your permit before you go to Springfield MO for your orientation.

Once you have your CDL, you go out with a trainer until you have 30,000 miles or more (depending on how things work out), then you go back to Springfield for a driving test & upgrade to being a Solo driver & issued a truck.

The advance you got while you were training to test for your CDL once you are hired, is taken out at $25/wk until the amount you used is paid back. You are paid .12/mile or $600/wk, whichever is greater during the second phase of your training.

Any other questions about Prime, let me know and I will do my best to answer them for you.

Ernie
