Any local (home daily) drivers?

I think they are alright but one thing to consider is that if you don't have any oil field around your area then that would be your best choice because in the oil field you could be making anywhere from a thousand to 2000 a week.. at the moment I'm currently hauling frac sand and I'm making anywhere from 2500 to 3000 dollars a week so there's a lot of work out there it just depends what you looking for. Its a fun job. I enjoy it. when I first started I started in a company that pay me $12 an hr I was makin 70 plus hours a week taking my 24 hour reset . it's always a work in progress but you would find your perfect job for you once you get trucking.

Hope that helps.

Alan, the "inverter" is connected to the batteries directly and doesn't have any real connection to the APU. You can get a 1500 or 2000 watt inverter for around $200 at most truck stops and they come with cables and instructions. The APU should be set up already to detect when the batteries are running down from use and then it kicks in to recharge the batteries. Good luck,

Jopa

Jopa nailed it.

Its pretty easy to connect to batters. Most have clips like jumper cables, but you can get ones that you put behind the nut on the cables. If you not that mechanicly inclined, best to have a pro do it.

make sure you connect cables to inverter first then put pos (+) on batter then Neg (-). (Red is + and black is -)

Thanks for the help .

Also, make sure that you'll be following all policies set forth by your company. Some companies don't allow you to have an inverter over a certain amount of watts. And most companies don't want you to install it yourself. If you must have it, they would rather do it themselves. Inverters can be a hazard. Best to check in on your company policies and have a company mechanic do it next time you're at the shop.

Yea .I've checked with the owner of the truck and he is fine with it. I might buy the inverter next week. Not to be cheap but I spend to much money eating out.

Thanks for the help.
