I bet that guy would have a change of attitude if he were to get 4 trailers back to back that had bad tires. Happened to Tony a couple weeks ago in Charlotte, SC, FL, and GA. He was totally hosed. They verified that the trailers had just been dropped and had not been sitting for more than 24 hrs. Company sent a safety message to all drivers reminding them of inspections and reporting.

Let's talk 12v coolers again.....
I just purchased the Koolatron P27 few days ago for $58 from Walmart online which offered free shipping on orders over $30 or you can use the ship to store option and pick up at the location of your choice....ship to store is faster this time of year - received it today. I had checked Amazon along with other sites even Koolatron prices varied widely for the same model and features......Koolatron was double the price and you had to purchase the cords/adaptors separate.

Valky,
Hang in there, remember it is the holiday season and many are out of office for various holiday functions or vacation. Have to tried calling the main number and asking if the person is in the office? As for you felony and otherwise unsure record. Check the states [where incident occurred] Dept. Of Corrections or Dept of Public Safety, Crime Control Prevention [states use either name] website. The information is public record so you can easily search yourself and see the individual charges and convictions. I work for DPS and can search it for you if you`d like.....PM me with your info and I can pull the record that you can provide them [ completely confidential on my end, it`s not my place to advertise a persons history or judge them for mistakes made ]. I deal with convicted felons on a daily basis and see the struggles they go through in obtaining employment even if their history is as old as yours. I have seen people with some pretty rough backgrounds get jobs in the industry. Even have a sex offender driving now, granted his is on satellite based monitoring, so I can check him any day and any time, he still has to report to the office every 30 days....he`s done so without fail for quite some time now. His employer is well aware of his status and very cooperative. Don`t give up yet, even if one company doesn`t take you there are others that would be willing to. Definitely don`t let your past get in the way of your future. Forge ahead and contact the other companies. His lack of follow up may be an indication of what the company is like even after training.....first impression hasn`t been the greatest, but it may be him and not a reflection of the company as a whole [see what I mean about judging?]
Best of Luck to you.

Truck Driver Training Stabbing
My SO is a trainer for Werner. Of the last 10 trainees on his truck only 1 was not a safety concern (either personal or otr) The majority had already been on a truck with one and sometimes two other trainers and had been kicked off for personal safety issues. One was a road safety issue. One was decent but decided life on the road wasn't for him. His last (and best) is on a visa and gets incredibly nervous on a DOT inspection, worried if there is an infraction his visa status would be affected. With what I hear about the caliber of trainees on his truck I'm thankful he's a Marine (combat vet recently retired) who worked cert at Camp David....can spot a nut job a mile away.
