I have a friend from New Zealand that actually did a sponsor type of program that got him to the US. He traveled a rough road and the school he went through wound up being shut down after he graduated. He had to go through some red tape in getting his CDL A up to snuff again. He's been driving for quite a while now in the US, and lives here now w/ his wife in the Midwest. He's got quite a story to tell.

I'm sure he'd be happy to help out a fellow countryman. He's a really good guy. I contacted him and hopefully he'll be in touch with you. I know he's very busy, so be patient.

Hi, My name is Richard Murphy, and i am from New Zealand. I have always wanted to be driving Trucks as far back as i can Remember, But to get in to the trucking industry here in new Zealand is very hard, the company's here are looking for people with about 5 years experience. My Plan is to move to America and join are School That will Train me in every thing that i need to get started in the Trucking industry in America. i have driven many trucks on farm. here in new Zealand. my licence classes here in new Zealand are Class 1 – car licence Class 2 – medium rigid vehicle Class 3 – medium combination, learner Class 4 – heavy rigid Class 5 – heavy combination, learner So for me to get a C D L i am looking at getting a work visa in to America, dose any one here know of any trucking company's that would sponsor people in to America to work, for me to come to America on my new Zealand Passport i can stay in America for 90 days and i am not allowed to work in America. But as i want to work in America i need to be sponsored by a prospective U.S.employer. My Goal is to get in to a Company-Sponsored CDL Training school so at the end of the training i will hopefully get a job Driving Trucks. Thanks in advance Kind Regards Richard
