Hazmat Endorsement Reward VS Risks
We haul mainly groceries but are required to have hazmat. I delivered a load this week that included 60 cases of comet cleanser (1200 lbs) that had to be placarded. I got every endorsement with my license including twic and a passport because even if the job does not require it those extra endorsements may get you the job over someone with just the bare minimum.

For me Miami is one of the worst. Drivers are just crazy. I run the Nashville Chattanooga Atlanta corridor at least twice a week and the key there is just to try to avoid rush hours but there's always someone whose done a stupid. I thought I was lucky a couple of weeks ago and got through all three no problem but below Atlanta someone lost it running a hundred and killed themself and managed to block all lanes of 75 south at 4:45 in the am. You gotta love it.

I use trip planner by rand with an atlas to lay out the route I want all the way to the customer and then import that into my rand 530. That way my GPS gives me the exact route I want to take

Prime ,Roehl , Schnieder ? Dont want to be jerked around.
You should look into the tech school programs in ga. I attended altamaha tech n baxley and it only costs 1500 for a 6.5 week 220 hour course. this included all the costs including dmv and medical and drug test fees. A state grant (available to anyone regardless of income) covered 1000 so I was only out of pocket 500. Then about a month after I graduated the state sent me another check for 500. 6.5 weeks of my time and having to front 500 for a shiny new cdl. thats a no-brainer! This will keep you from being tied to an employment contract or being in debt for school. Just make sure the program is listed as an approved school in the companies your looking at. Good luck!

Got results from tests. schneider retest of same sample positive(no surprise it was the collection where the problem was) two other tests taken ten days after initial test 1) 5 panel + extended opiates hair (same as Schneider's) negative. 2) twelve panel urine test negative(different lab). Schneider put company policy violation review required before rehiring on DAC on same day I left. The only problem is every company asks if u ever failed drug test. Say yes and u don't get hired. Say no and if hired they can fire u for lying on app. For new grads the problem is just about every job from companies not using DAC require at least six months experience for insurance purposes. After much hunting I got a job driving a log truck with help from a friend. Long hours but home every day and making probably more money than I could over the road (810.00 gross first full week)still have retained lawyer to fight it but since schneider would have to admit they were wrong I don't hold high expectations. My advice on new grads especially is to make sure your going to pass these tests even if it means paying for your own ahead of time and to ask questions about the collection procedure if it looks sketchy.(my first test collection was by trainee that didn't sterilize scissors and had to redo packaging after she messed the first one up.) If there are any doubts DO NOT take these tests until u KNOW you will pass them. Thank u all Keysman

The first thing I do when I get home (if I ever get off this greyhound) is go for a ten panel follicle screen from a different company than original. It will be ten days since original test but that is as good as I can do.with those results in hand I should hopefully have some ammunition to work with to go to a lawyer and ideally just get schneider to not post info. Chances are probably slim to none but this is too important to not fight it.Dave could you message me those company names? Thank u all

Best driving schedule to maximize miles
I run Atlanta Chattanooga Nashville a lot and one tip that works well is to time your transits through big cities late at night if possible or at least in off traffic times. I will stop short sometimes just so I can hit Atlanta at 1:00. The best way to get miles and not burn up your hours is to be running not sitting in stop and go traffic.
