Bringing a pet along for the long haul.
I am currently enrolling into a trucking school that starts this summer, I'm going for the long haul.
I was wondering if it is legal/acceptable to bring my small companion parrot with me in the cab, I have had my bird for over ten years and we are inseparable now. I don't want to leave my bird at home with the family as she is strongly bonded with me. Does anyone out there know of any other parrots OTR? Most importantly any trucking companies that allow companion birds?
/As a side note, my bird loves going for car rides (it's when she is happiest actually)...

My bird has been in cold weather many times, as long as there are blankets to cover her cage at night (when it's coldest) she will be fine. When I'm on the road I'd have the heater on. Parrots can endure cold weather as long as they are only out for short periods of time. I wouldn't plan on taking her out in a blizzard or giant storm. (If I know if the weather is going to be rough I'd just keep her at home in Phoenix, AZ with the family.)
