Yes, this was according to Hannah from the Indy location.. maybe she was mistaken? Either way, I will probably go ahead and wait almost a year anyway as I don't want to head to training in the middle of winter. Just sucks though..

Went and got my CDL permit a few days ago.. just a couple weeks away from heading to Knight for CDL training. Yesterday while driving it started pouring down rain in rush hour traffic and everyone in front of me started slamming on their brakes. My wheels locked up and I slid into the back of someone. Got a ticket for ACDA. Now I have to wait another six months. First traffic violation in 16 years of driving..

DOT Drug Testing: Urinalysis or Hair Follicle?
Thanks, guys.. did not realize that was even possible! Makes you really wish you knew these things in your early 20s. Hopefully some companies can be a LITTLE forgiving.

Yes all failed drug tests in the trucking industry will show up and most if not all the drug tests you take for any employment and fail trucking companies will see them as well
If I failed a drug test 8 years ago (just for taking a damn Vicodin when I was younger and dumber) for a warehousing job that is now out of business.. is there anyway a trucking company could find a record of that and deny me employment for it?

CDL Training with Knight Transportation
I live in Columbus and was thinking about going with Knight myself. Please keep us updated on your progress!
Also, they require tax return copies? As in W-2's or actual finished tax returns stating what (if anything) you are getting back?

I enjoy having a beer before shutting my eyes for the night. Does that go away or are you allowed to have a couple in a cooler inside your cab in a company owned truck? I would imagine they would be pretty strict about this but I am curious.. it definitely will not be a deal breaker as I am looking to get my CDL this spring, haha.

You gotta be kidding me
I figured the policy would be the same for other companies? I may look into others then.. Swift, Prime, and Roehl were also on top of my list. I just liked the idea of auto transmissions and getting paid right away as I am going into this with very little money.. I imagine if I get through the first few months I should easily get my first year in.. and then take it from there.
