Question about DoT medical cards.
Greetings! I was curious about my situation, I just got into the industry and finished training with my mentor, assigned my own truck. I'm waiting on my first load out right now.
Less than two months ago I got my first DOT physical and was issued a 2-year card. Upon entering this company (with an incredible turnover rate) I was given a new dot physical and instructed to take a sleep study because of "small airways" I don't have sleep apnea or the symptoms, the doctor asked me to open my mouth and stick out my tongue and before I had opened my mouth half-way she was already writing my prescription. I believe someone is getting money out of this and its not fair, They issued me a 2-month card -But- did not take my 2-year card away. What would happen if I were to either disregard my 2-month card or see my original dot doctor and get a new physical?
