The good news is right now you haven't had a bad prehires drug test yet. I don't want to sound critical but if you left on April 1st and smoked for 3 or 4 weeks you haven't been clean for very long. If you really want this it can wait till your in a better place. Once you fail a drug test for the dot it is almost impossible to be hired by any trucking firm. Time is the only real remedy for your situation. In the mean time study for you permit and get clean.

How does the DOT work I thought it was only a UA test.....

Yea. As suggested: Study for your permit, get it from the state (always a BIG plus for companies I've talked to; We had 2 at CRST.. Ahead by 1 week!), and study some more! :)

The High Road program on this forum is awesome, thorough, and real. The Android app is also awesome. I used both. Scored nothing under a 90% on every test given. :)

I am deff looking into doing a clinic hair test, I wanna get on the road ASAP! I know I messed up. But its not going to let my Mistake stop me.

I'm going to Swift tomorrow to start orientation this week. Every company is different and every person is different, so don't pay much attention to what others have said. And let me say-that I picked Swift for family reasons and based on what I've read about them. LOL. They were on my short list with Werner and Stevens. Not a last resort by any means.

I did school on my own. The first thing they did was run the 'standard' background check. If there was something bad on it we would have ended our trip right then. Also-don't rely on the drug tests you can get at Walmart/CVS. They will show a negative result but the test used by the lab could still show positive. The ONLY way to be sure is to be clean for the required amount of time. I think the best thing you can do is get some clean time under your belt, then you just have to deal with the record-that may or may not be an issue. Tackle one issue at a time.

You need 45 days clean to be sure you pass your UA. Plain and simple. If you got one pre-hire, you can get others. Just keep at it. I smoked to mitigate pain because of knee surgeries. So I had to wait. Everyone has their own story and it's just that-yours. Good luck.

That is true but i dont know who My background report comes back with NOTHING. Im not asking questions. But CREngland (up theres) wont hire me even though Nothing comes back on my record. (Sorry was taking care of the Chickens.) And Prime wont take me because of no work history. I am just at a loss. I have heard bad about Swift. Everyone says no dont go with them. I'm just about to go and apply Everywhere and just take what i can get.

I would avoid going to schneider, as is appears they do a hair follicle test. There was a thread on here that listed companies that do only urine, hair or both. Id look at the thread Hair or Urine.. Perhaps you could apply to a company that only does urine for the time being, then go to schneider after a year if thats who you wanna drive for. Not gonna judge you, just be sure your done with the drugs cuz you will be out of the industry possibly forever if you test positive. I think they test hair from the past 6 months, but i could be mistaken.

See ive had a rough path and made some mistakes. Im not perfect. I have a domestic violence misdemeanor From 2012 and its a misdemenor. I got tired of being a rag doll. Then this x wouldnt let me work so there lies my problem. I just need a fresh start.

Delay the start of your training until you KNOW you will be clean. Otherwise there is just no point of going. If you fail, you'll be done in this business before you start. Schneider does hair follicle testing. That generally goes back 90 days. Other companies only do UA testing. But the thing is you gotta be clean before you even start this biz-and stay that way. If you can't don't bother. :)

Trust me I can stay clean i just fell along the way. And looking back at how its affecting me. Im kicking myself really hard. Im just trying to put everthing behind me and start fresh. I am worried because ive read they go back 6-12 months. I want this life and will do anything to get it and not loose it! XD This is the begginning of the rest of my life. So I recently got a Pre-hire from Schnieder. Towards the End of May couldnt take the abuse of my x-boyfriend and was working on getting out. Got out of there April 1st and away. Between then I gave in and smoked some pot for maybe 3-4 weeks. I messed up BIG I know. But I am suppose to start school end of May Begining of June. 3 Week course. How SOL am i? Save your time i was a IDIOT! BUT dont judge me till you know my story, and you would cry!
