Lol! I am glad i am not the only one in this boat! Is the CDL permit the only thing I should worry about along with the DOT physical until I am getting hired by a company and training with them?

I am still teaching. 3 weeks left this year. I have my contract for next year signed...we are a private school. but would be no problem to get out of this. I just can't stand showing up each day. the best part of my day is my drive. Everything else sucks now. I don't know how to get into trucking i have read so many suggestions online and hope that you all have some help for me

And how about the training process...do i get paid during this?

There are a few factors which will effect your income. What your cpm are, how hard do you want to run ( which will be greatly impacted by proper trip planning and time management) and what are your home time expectations.

As for a very vague answer, you should be able to make 40k your first year.

I plan to pursue a company that will train me. Any ideas on the type of money i can expect to make as I first start driving?

Does anyone have an idea of what I would make starting of at trucking???
