Thank you Brian. I'm sure I will have plenty of questions as the time for me to head to orientation grows nearer. For now, I've just been taking advantage of the high road training program and watching some YouTube vids from other drivers to just get a feel of the day to day life of OTR. I'm getting restless!

Thanks Old School! I appreciate it. I have noticed a lot of Primers. I tried doing as much research as I could and I liked their extended training program. I want to get as much knowledge as I can from an experienced driver, so I considered the "long" training time to be a bonus. Not too keen about being in a lightweight tractor, but I understand the fiscal reasons. Plus they are training me and giving me my own truck, so how can I complain? Lol.

Hello all. Brand new to the forums. Well, to be more accurate this is my first post. Been lurking for a couple of weeks trying to absorb as much knowledge as I can. I'm preparing for my first steps into the trucking world. Heading up to Springfield in a couple of weeks to do orientation for Prime Inc. I'm both excited to get started and truthfully a little nervous at being dropped into a big rig. Anyway, I don't have any questions currently, just wanted to say hello to everyone and if all things go according to plan, I look forward to sticking around for the long haul and getting to know many of you in the future.

I hate when you're sitting in a dock with your windows down and a fly comes in.
Better than when you're at a dock with your fly down and a brisk wind blows in. I take it back. I actually enjoy that.
