Footwear

I'm in my first week at PSD training and have had no need for anything but sneakers. They work well for learning on the simulators and everything you do is indoors this week. That said, I brought my steel toe Red Wings to take out on the road just in case. I'm going flatbed so it may be required some places. I'm coming from the oil field and, while expensive, these are the most comfortable shoes I own but I'm not sure about driving a big rig with them as a student. http://www.redwingshoes.com/red-wing-shoe/4436-red-wing-shoes/4436-red-wing-mens-11-inch-pull-on-boot-brown

I wear boots while driving/working and have a pair of sandals and sneakers for the end of the day. My boots are comfortable to me but I also made sure I bought a high quality pair. They are waterproof hiking boots I got from Red Wing shoes as I don't go to any places that require steel toed shoes.!

If you want to breeze thru the cdl written test....

Great news! I've been using High Road program and am on the bus to SpringMO right now. The Missouri DMV site has practice tests also. Just FYI for others that may be going to Prime.

Let me start with saying thank you to who ever put this site together. Awesome!!! Anyone preparing to take the cdl written test if you go thru the High Road program on this site the test is a breeze. I took mine today, cdl knowledge, air brakes and tanker and missed acing it by two questionable questions.

I am starting with Prime on the 25th. I plan on posting a journey.

Thanks again, awesome info here.

Starting on at SRT

Congratulations and good luck to you! I am on the bus headed to SpringMO to start orientation/training Monday morning with Prime. As an aside, Greyhound had two departures today from Huntsville, TX to Springfield, MO. One trip was 17 hours, the other 22.5 hours. I asked the recruiter to pleeeaaase book the 17 hour ticket for me :)
