Company downsizing has me looking for a new career. I'm used to being a road runner staying 3/4 nights a week in a hotel on my previous job. Going to Sage CDL school in Lexington SC. Then for my first year trying the OTR dry van way of life.

Training at Sage school in Lexington SC
I start my training June 1st at Sage school in Lexington SC. Have done lots of reading here and studying my local CDL manual. School is 150 miles from where I live so I'll be using my RV in a nearby campground. I usually have way to much personal clothing in the RV so I pulled it out and packed only what I'll be allowed to bring with my future trainer.
I have already pulled my driving record and have two tickets in the last ten years. Got a passport on the way and have my two year MED card in hand. 14 straight years recent employment as Regional traveler (Sprinter van) doing 3/4 nights a week in a hotel I'm ready to jump up to a bigger rig. Its a lot different having to jump from a regular license to the CDL A, been under the radar now everyone's watching everything and needs to know everything. There has been many times I've ran all day and half the night on the road and now its going to be logged and regulated. That's going to be the big adjustment for me.
